Dr. Boris is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. He completed his residency in General Pediatrics at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler AFB, MS, then completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at The Children’s Hospital, Denver, CO. He is board certified in General Pediatrics and in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
He practiced as a pediatric cardiologist in the US Air Force at Landstuhl, Germany, and at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler AFB, MS, and then was in private practice in Asheville, NC. He was at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA, from 2007 to 2019. He is an outpatient pediatric cardiologist, and has also been caring for patients with PoTS since 2002. He opened the PoTS Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in January 2014, and created one of the largest pediatric PoTS databases in the country, from which he has published multiple research articles. He opened his present private practice in October 2020, which is a telemedicine consultation practice for children and young adults through age 23 with autonomic disorders. He received the Dysautonomia International Physician of the Year award in 2016, recognized for his warmth, compassion, and tireless commitment to his pediatric and young adult patients. His academic interests include clinical database research in pediatric cardiology and in PoTS.
