At present all our volunteer roles are aged 18+
Peer Support Volunteer – this role involves hosting our Online Peer Support Groups.
Charity Support Volunteer – we also offer various other volunteer opportunities such as social media support, administrative tasks, reviewing website content, event planning and campaigning.
If you wish to become a Peer Support Volunteer and host our online support groups we would expect a regular commitment of 1 group per month, alongside an initial training period and any mandatory training ongoing.
Other roles might only require ad hoc commitment for the completion of a certain task, project or event. We try to make our roles as flexible as possible but do ask if you commit to a volunteering role that you honour that commitment. We are a small charity and there are costs involved when taking on new volunteers.
If you are receiving benefits, you can still volunteer but sometimes there are some rules you need to be aware of. It is always best to let your benefits advisor or job coach know that you are planning on volunteering.
